GG ALLIN - The Final Hellride (1993, funeral)

Full footage of GG ALLIN'S funeral.

Runtime: 90 min

Wake 7-2-93.
Funeral 7-3-93.
Headstone Memorial 8-28-94.

"Features all you'd expect from a funeral with speeches, tears yet with a few minor differences (photos with the corpse, donating dirty panties, pills and booze for the stay downunder) but the headstone memorial has a touch of scum when Dino gets two drumsticks inserted into his ass by Merle Allin and then takes a piss in a rubbish bin right next to the headstone.

Has some interesting stuff here and there, and it is a weird sight to see GG actually motionless, calm and silent, but less hardcore GG fans may find themselves reaching for the fast forward button a few times like a boring porno."

Captured in November of 1988 at the Covered Wagon Saloon, footage includes excerpts of the pre-show soundtrack, casual backstage conversation with fans and friends, and the night's entire live performance. LIVE AND PISSED portraits both the lighter and darker sides of one of rock's most controversial artists. Experience the phenomena of G.G. Allin!"

GG Allin: Prelude To Destruction

Runtime: 87 min

"BEFORE THE MISSION AND BEFORE INCARCERATION, GG ALLIN WAS ONE OF THE PIONEERS OF EXTREME PUNK ROCK. THIS VIDEO CONTAINS FOOTAGE THAT SHOWS GG WITH TEETH, HAIR AND SKIN WITHOUT NUMEROUS TATTOOS.

THIS IS GG IN HIS EARLY YEARS, BEFORE INFAMY, FAR FROM INNOCENCE, BUT BEFORE THE ULTRAVIOLENCE, PLAYING SOME THE MOST EXCITING MUSIC OF ITS ERA. DUE TO ITS VULGUR AND OBNOXIOUS DISPLAYS IT'S STILL NOT SUITABLE FOR THE FAMILY HOUR."

Gimme Shelter (1970)

Directed by:
Albert Maysles

Runtime: 91 min

"In December of 1969, four months after Woodstock, the Rolling Stones and Jefferson Airplane gave a free concert in Northern California, east of Oakland at Altamont Speedway. About 300,000 people came, and the organizers put Hell's Angels in charge of security around the stage. Armed with pool cues and knifes, Angels spent the concert beating up spectators, killing at least one. The film intercuts performances, violence, Grace Slick and Mick Jagger's attempts to cool things down, close-ups of young listeners (dancing, drugged, or suffering Angel shock), and a look at the Stones later as they watch concert footage and reflect on what happened."

UKDK Film About Punks and Skinheads (1979) + Holidays in the Sun (1996)

Runtime: 96 min

"Subtitled 'A Film About Punks And Skinheads', ""UK/DK"" not only includes some excellent live footage and promos from the leading lights of the Britpunk scene, it also documents the era. Full of interviews with band members, street punks and Punk journalists, the film shows how being a Punk became not simply a trend but a way of life. The film features some of the Punk scene's most famed bands, such as The Exploited, The Vice Squad and The Adicts, and is a highly entertaining look at Punk in it's infancy. Also featured on the DVD is a documentary on the Holidays In The Sun festival in Blackpool, England from 1996."

You See Me Laughin' (2002)

Director:
Mandy Stein

Runtime: 68 min

"This documentary is a must-see for blues fans world-wide. It features many blues artists who would remain virtually unknown outside of their rural areas were it not for the efforts of the good folks at Fat Possum Records. The artists featured include D.L. Burnside, T-model Ford, Asie Payton and others. Pop stars Bono and Iggy Pop make comments about the artists and the genre. This documentary clearly shows that the blues musicians featured have truly "paid their dues". Unfortunately some of them have since passed away. This well-produced documentary keeps their music alive for others to appreciate."

NOR NOISE (2004)

Director:
Tom Hovinbøle

Runtime: 100 min

"NOR NOISE is a documentary about Noise music – perhaps the most exiting and innovative form of music to evolve in the last years. The film maker Tom Hovinbøle has since the project started in 2001, interviewed some of the most central artists, both internationally and in Norway. The artists speaks about their relationship to this music: What is it? Where does it come from? How do you work with pure sounds? Which possibilitys opens up with the new sound processing oportunities? Noise is also put into an historical context spanning from the Futurists and Luigi Russolo befor the First World War, through the first experiments with electronical music in the fifthies, the avang-gard in the sixties, the Industy and Punk movements in the seventies, before Noise establishes it self as a music in its own right in Japan during the seventies. The film also contains a lot of rare concert footage with the artists.

The following artists participate: Tore H. Bøe (Origami Republika), David Cotner (USA), Masami Akita (Merzbow), Lasse Marhaug (bla. Jazzkammer), Tashimaru Nakamura (Japan), Arm (Aleksander Rishaug, Arne Borgan, Arne Borgan, Are Mokkelbost), Asbjørn Flø (Oslo), Maja S.K. Death in June: Behind the Mask (2006)

Runtime: 58 min

"Death In June: Behind The Mask is a recently released DVD interview with Douglas Pierce of Death In June. Created by American based Voidstar Productions in cooperation with Sektor 6 Kommunikations Behind The Mask offers a glimpse into the personal life of Douglas Pierce as well as a meandering history of Death In June. Behind The Mask was filmed during a day long interview that took place in the basement of a skyscraper in downtown NYC during the winter of 2004. This very unique odyssey into the life and times of Douglas Pierce and the infamous Death In June was organized and headed by Darryl Hell. Behind The Mask is unlike other interviews in which both the artists and the interviewer are represented. Behind The Mask was conducted and edited in such a manner as to remove almost all trace of the interviewer. The interview was filmed forty feet below the surface in the abandoned basement of a NYC skyscraper while a blizzard raged outside in the city. Douglas Pierce appears in classic Death In June regalia complete with combat boots, colored camouflage clothing and the white mask. The interview is conducted and filmed with Douglas seated alone amidst the cold and unflattering bowels of an industrialized basement. The viewer never hears the questions Douglas is asked but rather the interview has been edited to only include Douglas's lengthy responses. The tone is conversational and Douglas speaks at length about very personal issues. Numerous aspects of Douglas Pierce's life are thoroughly discussed such as his family, childhood, and his current relationship to his family members. In addition the interview covers in detail the beginnings of Douglas Pierce's career as a musician. Douglas explains his involvement with music and traces his personal history back to the European punk rock movement of the 70's and his first band Crisis. The interview includes Douglas Pierce's use of hallucinogenic drugs earlier in life and his coming out as a gay male."

Live in New York: Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, Gorilla Biscuits (1992)

Director:
George Seminara

Runtime: 58 min

"The full title on this VHS only release is LIVE IN NYC: Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, Gorilla Biscuits. Shot in 1991 this video runs like an interview style documentary interspersed with incredible segments from this legendary one time concert. Each band is represented in this doc with the addition of Jimmy Gestapo, Harley Flannigan, and Paris Mayhew (Murphy's Law/Cro-Mags), who add a touch of humor to the film. Each seminal band is interviewed about the birth and reason for the hardcore scene in the late 80's. A really great flick that combines incredible performances with classic interviews! Along with the great interviews comes an awesome selection of songs from these seminal hardcore bands."

***For you Gorilla Biscuits fans this is the only place to get their unreleased song "Distance" that was supposed to be released on their 2nd album. They broke up before the album was made. It's such a tease for what could have been another classic hardcore album.
