"Half of the mentally ill people admitted to Bellevue Hospital's emergency psychiatric center are struggling with substance abuse problems. This creates an added challenge for this famous New York City facility that admits 7,000 men and women each year. During this program, actual case histories help illustrate why it's so difficult to provide quality therapy and long-term treatment to transient populations, those battling addictions, and people trying to cope with the most debilitating mental illnesses."
