"A young woman wanders around New York City and stumbles across a number of strange characters and settings that represent the "underground" areas of the city. She sees stand up comedy in Central Park, a prostitution auction, a voodoo ceremony, an S&M club, and a number of very interesting performance artists. These are just a few of the sights and sounds of New York that she encounters. This off-beat documentary looks into the skewed and frequently depraved lives of some of New York City's most bizarre underground performance artists including Joey Arias, Rick Aviles, Charlie Barnett, Joe Coleman, Ann Magnuson, Emilio Cubiero, Karen Finley, Dean Johnson, Phoebe Legere, Lydia Lunch, Frank Moore, Annie Sprinkle, John Sex, and Shannah Laumeister. Many scenes contain graphic violence, nudity and vulgar language, but you expect nothing less!"
